Study in New Zealand: Applications open for Massey University Master's Research Scholarship
The application process for Massey University Master's Research Scholarship started in April 2024 and it will conclude in July 2024. The last date to apply for the scholarship is 1 July 2024.
Study in New Zealand: Massey University Master's Research Scholarship is for candidates undertaking research in any field as part of a master's degree. It is open to both domestic and international students. The last date to apply for the scholarship is 1 July 2024.
There are multiple awards available at a value of $15,000 each. "You will have completed the course component of your master's degree and be entering into the research component. You may apply for a Massey University Master's Research Scholarship, a Massey University Māori Master's Research Scholarship, or a Massey University Pacific Master's Research Scholarship," said the official statement.
Eligibility Criteria
There are two selection rounds annually for the Massey University Master's Research Scholarship, closing at the start of semester 1 and closing at the start of semester 2. The main eligibility criterion is that the students should be enrolling full time or part time in a 90 credit or more research component of a master's degree with a start date which aligns with the scholarship closing date as per the scholarship regulations.
While choosing the recipient of the award, the university will consider the academic achievements in the course component of the master's degree. It will also consider the supervisor's evaluation and the alignment of research with the university strategy.
Documents required for Massey University Master's Research Scholarship
The following documents are needed with the application:
- A research proposal highlighting the relevance and alignment of your research with the College and University strategy. You should consult with your supervisor for guidance on these strategies (one page maximum)
- A statement from your primary supervisor commenting on your quality and capability as a researcher (one page maximum)
2024 Home Sports Day
Massey’s Home Sports Day witnessed a gathering of over 500 people including students, club members, opposing teams and spectators.
Nine clubs participated and offered a series of ‘have a go’ sessions in the Sports Hall. The clubs included basketball, volleyball, pickleball, futsal, grappling, squash and badminton.
“There was a fantastic energy of support and pride for Massey, and it was great to see so many people out and about on a Saturday. A special shoutout to the rugby and pickleball clubs, who gave a lot of support leading up to and during the event!," said Recreation Centre Manager Ron Werner.
