Study in UK: Apply Soon for Commonwealth Scholarships!
The last date to apply for Commonwealth Scholarships to study in the UK is October 15, 2024, up to 16:00 BST (15:00 GMT). The scholarship is to fund study in the UK for the September/October 2025 students intake.
Study Abroad: Commonwealth Scholarships in the UK is a government scheme intended for outstanding and talented international students from low and middle-income Commonwealth countries and for such students who otherwise could not afford to study in the UK. The Commonwealth Scholarships help such students to undertake full-time taught master's study at a UK university.
The applications are currently being accepted for the courses commencing in September/October 2025 and the last date to submit the application is 16:00 BST (15:00 GMT) on October 15, 2024. There are two routes of the application, the main one is National nominating agencies, and the second one is selected non-government organizations and charitable bodies.
The applications cannot be submitted directly for scholarships, they can only be sent through participating nominators who again cannot forward more than an agreed number of candidatures for consideration.
"Each nominator oversees its own selection process and may have additional eligibility criteria. Applicants must check with the nominator for their specific advice and rules for applying, and their own eligibility criteria. Nominators may set their own closing dates for applications. They will nominate candidates to the CSC by December 2024," reads the official notification.
"The CSC aims to identify talented individuals who have the potential to make change. We are committed to a policy of equal opportunity and non-discrimination and encourage applications from a diverse range of applicants," added the official statement.
All candidates will be informed through mail, expected by July 2025. They are advised to check their spam folders and junk mail. If they are selected and fail to reply on time, their scholarship may be withdrawn.
