Study in US: Apply to Cornell University; Know about Tata Scholarship for Indian students

Those Indian students looking to study in the US can apply for the Ivy League Cornell University which counts Ratan Tata among its alumni. Indian students can also apply for the Tata Scholarship.

The US is one of the best choices for study abroad for the Indian students. Among many top universities in the US, the students can also apply for Cornell University which is one of the Ivy League Universities. The university offers a world-class education with great networking opportunities.

To apply for Cornell University, the international candidates first need to apply through Common Application which opens in August, CSS profile opens in October.

The candidates must complete the following processes by November 1, 2024:

• They must fill out the Common Application and submit the Cornell Writing Supplement.
• The Architecture, Art, and Landscape Architecture applicants should submit the portfolio.
• They should pay the $80 application fee or apply for the fee waiver.
• The video interview of the architecture applicants should also be completed.
• Fashion Design and Management and Design & Environmental Analysis applicants need to submit a design supplement.
• International students must apply for financial aid.

The admission decisions and financial awards will be announced by mid-December. The selected candidates must reply to the offer of admission by January 16, 2024.

Tata Scholarship for Indian Students Details

Tata Education and Development Trust offers this to 20 Indian scholars. The aim is that the best students must get admission to Cornell University irrespective of their financial situation. Only Indian students can apply for this scholarship, they should have an offer from Cornell University for an undergraduate program and be eligible for need-based financial aid.

Tata scholarship gives preference for admission to the following - College of Engineering, College of Architecture, Art and Planning, Management and Applied Economics major in the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business and major across colleges in social sciences, physical sciences, biological sciences and other sciences.

"As long as Tata Scholars have financial need, Cornell is committed to providing them with Tata Scholarship funding. With the exception of the five-year program in architecture, which requires ten semesters of full-time enrollment, Cornell will provide up to eight semesters of funding. Funding for additional semesters due to double majors or dual degrees is not available," reads Cornell University's statement.
