University of Kent rises high in The Times/Sunday Times University Guide 2025
Study in UK: Sunday Times University Ranking 2025 was released recently, and the University of Kent has climbed to 40th place.
The University of Kent was positioned at the 40th position in the recently released Times/Sunday Times University Guide 2025. It has come up by 12 places from the previous year rank and hence it is one of the biggest risers in the list.
The University’s Interim Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Georgina Randsley de Moura, said, "This is excellent news for our students, staff and all those considering joining us here at Kent. It is without doubt a ringing endorsement of the hard work everyone across the University is doing to ensure that our curriculum, teaching and student experience are inclusive. We have an ambition to inspire our students for their future and to deliver cutting edge teaching with an emphasis on creativity, skills and employability. I would like to thank all those who have made this achievement possible and I look forward to celebrating further progress and successes with them in the years ahead."
In research performance, the university was at up to joint 32, it ranked 32nd for Ethnic Diversity.
"Regarding the teaching and learning environment, the Guide states that Kent’s ‘most recent developments include upgraded facilities for natural sciences and high-spec teaching laboratories for computing. For forensic science students, there is a new taphonomy farm and a chamber for developing fingerprints. Students on courses within Architecture have been afforded more studio space in line with Kent’s creation of a ‘21st-century studio culture," said the official statement of the university.
AMBAs, BGA recognize University of Kent
Business Graduates Association (BGA) and the Association of Master of Business Administrations (AMBAs) have recognized the integrity, impact and ambition of the University of Kent. The university was recognized for including students and staff for three Excellence Awards.
Caroline Knott, an MBA student and dedicated NHS professional, has been shortlisted for the AMBA Student of the Year Award. Acting Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Georgina Randsley De Moura is shortlisted for the Postgraduate Leadership Award, and MBA and Alumni Officer, Lynne Dickens shortlisted for Best Lifelong Learning Initiative Award.
While commenting on this, Debbie Kemp, Director of the MBA in KBS, said, "We are proud to have been shortlisted for three AMBA Excellence Awards this year which is an incredible achievement considering the prestigious global Business Schools we were competing against."
