University Of Leeds: Applications Open For International Excellence Scholarships
The last date to apply for International Excellence Scholarships at the University of Leeds for everyone except the applicants domiciled in mainland China is May 16, by 5 pm UK time.
Study in UK: University of Leeds is offering International Excellence Scholarships for international students. This is for students who have applied to study a taught Masters course starting in 2025. The scholarship is open to students with high academic merits.
Under the International Excellence Scholarships, a fee reduction of 10%, 25%, and 50% are available. For everyone except Chinese students, the application deadline is May 16, by 5 pm UK time. The outcome of the applications will be announced by June 13, 2025.
For students domiciled in mainland China, the last date to apply is February 28, 2025, up to 5 pm UK. The results will be announced by March 28, 2025.
The eligible courses include an MA in Arts Management and Heritage Studies, MA Art Gallery and Museum Studies, MA Fine Art, MA Critical and Cultural Theory, and MA Social History of Art.
Eligibility Criteria For International Excellence Scholarships
The following are the eligibility criteria:
- The applicant must be classified as an international student for tuition fee purposes.
- They should have applied for an eligible taught Masters course for 2025/26 entry. The students should not need to have received a study offer before applying for the scholarship.
- They need to be self-funding or partially funded.
- The applicant must demonstrate an outstanding track record in academics. They must have achieved 2.1 or equivalent or be predicted to achieve the same.
- Must demonstrate work experience and/or extracurricular activities to show outstanding personal and professional skills.
University Of Leeds Offers Travel Funding For International Students
The university offered travel grants to more than 100 international students with an interest in machine learning and data science to attend events in Kampala, Uganda.
The University of Leeds and Deep Learning Indaba have organized the Deep Learning IndabaX Uganda conference.
“Attending the IndabaX Uganda conference opened doors for me in ways that have greatly expanded my academic and professional horizons," said student Namutebi Esther.
“Without the funding, I would not have been able to attend the event, which provided me with invaluable experiences and connections that would have been impossible to gain otherwise. Attending the IndabaX Uganda conference opened doors for me in ways that have greatly expanded my academic and professional horizons,” she added.
