University of Leeds, GD Goenka University Partner To Foster Academic And Research Initiatives
Study in UK: To collaborate on academics and research aspects, the University of Leeds in the UK has partnered with GD Goenka University in India.
Study Abroad: The University of Leeds, UK has joined forces with GD Goenka University India for academic and research initiatives between the two institutes.
Under the alliance, the undergraduate and graduate students will participate in dissertation projects, semester mobility, summer internships, and other academic pursuits. The partnership also comprises research and general academic activities such as organising conferences, and PhD programs and promoting mutual interests and symposiums to strengthen scholarly exchange.
Ms. Jenny Oxley, Head of Internationalisation at Leeds University, stated, “This alliance marks a significant step towards fostering global academic cooperation. We are excited about the opportunities it will create for our students and faculty. By working together, we can utilise our combined strengths to offer unique educational experiences and promote innovative research projects that address global challenges.”

University Of Leeds Works With Fashion Brands To Identify Environmental Impact Of Textile Manufacturing
University of Leeds' School of Design is running online professional development courses. It saw the participants of brands such as Bershka, Massimo Dutti, Zara and Zara Home, Stradivarius and Pull & Bear.
While commenting on this, Adrián Castro Rodríguez, Shirting and Knitwear Designer at Pull & Bear, said “As a fashion designer, it made me more aware of all the processes and the waste that our decisions can cause. I will definitely be more conscious about how to construct a garment and what kind of finishings I request. It helped me to open my eyes at work but as a consumer as well.”
