University Of Melbourne Appoints Professor Marek Tesar As Dean of Education
Currently, Marek Tesar is the Associate Dean International at the Faculty of Education and Social Work and Head of the School of Learning Development and Professional Practice at the University of Auckland.
Study in Australia: University of Melbourne has appointed Professor Marek Tesar as Dean of Education. The appointment was made after a thorough search and selection process.
While commenting on his appointment, he said, "After 15 rewarding years at the University of Auckland I am excited to lead the Faculty of Education at the University of Melbourne. I look forward to engaging with the vibrant community at the University and working collaboratively in shaping an academic environment that values diversity, fairness and equity, fosters innovation and a broad research agenda, and champions academic excellence."

About Professor Tesar
His award-winning studies focus on early childhood education internationally and in New Zealand. He comes from a background of teaching and his work focuses on philosophy, education policy, methodology, pedagogy, and curriculum blending the theory and practical parts of children's lives in NZ and overseas.
Earlier he served in the following roles - the Chair of Early Years, Childhood Studies and Child Development Research and Teaching Hub, Director of Centre for Global Childhoods, immediate President of Philosophy of Education Society of Australasia (PESA), and Steering Committee of the Reconceptualizing Early Childhood Education (RECE).
University Of Melbourne Gets New Dean of Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology
Professor Thas Nirmalathas, who served as the Interim Dean since January this year, has been appointed as the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology.
He commented on his appointment and said, "I am delighted to be appointed as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology. I look forward to continuing to lead the exceptional staff at FEIT, to supporting an inclusive community with a strong focus on supporting our outstanding students, and to working closely with our alumni, partners and stakeholders.
