University Of Sheffield Invites Applications For MSc In Biomedical Engineering
Candidates interested in studying in the UK can apply for an MSc in Biomedical Engineering course at the University of Sheffield. The program will commence in September 2025.
Study in UK: University of Sheffield UK is currently accepting applications for the MSc in Biomedical Engineering. The course is all set to commence in September 2025. This is a one-year full-time course and the annual fee for international students is £31,190.
The subject is a multidisciplinary field which comprises engineering and biology and allows students to apply engineering principles to healthcare and medicine.
The program is created to equip students with expertise, technical knowledge and transferable skills to do well in engineering careers. It will also help them to be ready for a wide range of careers in the medical technology sector.
There is the option of International Postgraduate Taught Merit Scholarships worth £10,000 towards the original tuition fee. The last date to apply for the scholarship is May 12, 2025.
Eligibility Criteria For MSc In Biomedical Engineering
The following are the eligibility criteria:
- The applicants need to be holders of three or four-year bachelor’s degrees from a recognized university with at least 50-55%.
- The bachelor’s subject and modules should be relevant. The accepted subjects include Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Astronomy, Bioengineering, Earth Sciences, Control Engineering, General Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Geology, Meteorology, New Energy Materials and Devices, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, and Statistics.
- The IELTS score should be a minimum of 6.5 with no less than 6 in each component.
MSc in Biomedical Engineering: More Details
The program combines medical imaging, biomaterials, and computational medicine. It offers students specialist knowledge, medical background, practical skills and theory knowledge. The students will be required to integrate medicine and biology with engineering and solve living systems-related problems.
