University of Strathclyde introduces Humanities & Social Sciences Merit Scholarships
Humanities & Social Sciences Merit Scholarships of the University of Strathclyde are under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. It will offer a 50% discount on the tuition fees.
Study in UK: The University of Strathclyde is offering 50% Humanities & Social Sciences Merit Scholarships to international and EU Students on various different subjects.
There are a total of six scholarships available. The subjects under this scholarship include - Social Work, International Relations, Social Policy, Journalism, Speech and Language Therapy, Psychology, Politics, Languages, Law, History, English and Education. To be considered for the scholarship, the applicants must have a full-time study offer for any of these subjects' courses and they must be self-funded international students. This scholarship cannot be combined with other scholarships from the embassy and government office, also, those enrolled in the online and blended learning programmes cannot apply for this scholarship.
Three academics appointed to Scotland’s Young Academy
Three academics of the university have been appointed to Scotland’s Young Academy. Those who are appointed include - Dr Kimia Witte (Chancellor’s Fellow, Biomedical Engineering), Dr Susan Spesyvtseva (Knowledge Exchange Fellow, Physics), and Dr Helina Marshall (Chancellor’s Fellow, Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences).
Commenting on this, Strathclyde Principal and Vice-Chancellor Professor Sir Jim McDonald said: “The Young Academy has been a driving force in encouraging and nurturing exceptional new talent at Strathclyde and other Scottish Universities since it was founded under the auspices of one of my predecessors, the late Professor Sir John Arbuthnott, during his time as RSE President.
RSE President Professor Sir John Ball said, “It is wonderful to see such a talented group of young professionals join Scotland's Young Academy. The Young Academy represents some of the most innovative emerging leaders in Scotland today, and together they bring great insight and spirit to the RSE – both through their contributions to the RSE’s programmes, and their portfolio of interdisciplinary public benefit projects.”
