University of Tasmania offers Tasmanian International Scholarship to foreign students

Tasmanian International Scholarship offers a 25% reduction in the tuition fees for the entire duration of the course. The scholarship is offered on an academic merit basis.

Study in Australia: The University of Tasmania is accepting applications for the Tasmanian International Scholarship. This scholarship recognizes international students with excellent academic reports and offers them a reduction of 25% in tuition fees for the entire duration of the program in which the student is enrolled.

There is no need to apply separately, the applicants will be assessed for this scholarship when they will apply for the university’s programs. Also, recipients need not apply for ongoing eligibility.

“The scholarship marks the university's commitment to fostering relationships with international students including India and promoting cultural exchange and diversity within the campus community. This scholarship offer aims to provide opportunities for students from India to pursue higher education and contribute to the global learning environment at the university,” stated the official notification.

Tasmanian International Scholarship Details

Before the applicants start their program at the Tasmanian University, they will be awarded this scholarship based on their highest qualification.

Moreover, the recipient has the opportunity to further increase their scholarship value as they can apply for a successive scholarship while completing their first academic semester. This opportunity is given based on how is their grade in the first academic semester.

Eligibility Criteria

It is available to the foreign students who are applying for the undergraduate programs. Once they apply for these programs, they will automatically be considered by the Admissions Team for the Tasmanian International Scholarship. This scholarship is not available for the following undergraduate courses - Bachelor of Dementia Care, Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine, and AMC Seafaring courses. It is also available to foreign students applying to some postgraduate coursework degrees but there is some exclusion conditions.

“As qualifications and grading scales differ by country, applicants are notified of their scholarship status in their offer letter once the results are submitted. The letter includes the scholarship's terms and conditions, which must be reviewed carefully. This scholarship is available only to new students, and current students are not reassessed based on their academic performance at the University of Tasmania,” added the official statement.
