US-India Strategic Partnership Forum announces third edition of INDUS-X Summit
The third edition will focus on the defence sector. To strengthen ties in defence innovation, the Summit will see top defence policymakers of India and Washington interacting with each other.
The US-India Strategic Partnership Forum in alliance with the Gordian Knot Center for National Security Innovation and the Hoover Institution of Stanford University has announced the third edition of the India-US Defense Acceleration Ecosystem (INDUS-X) Summit. It will be held in two days - September 9 and September 10, 2024.
The theme of the summit will be “Harnessing Investment Opportunities to Enhance Cross-Border Defense Innovation Ecosystems,” and it will emphasize the significant role of private investment in the defence innovation sector.
US-India Strategic Partnership Forum on X said, “Strengthening US-India defence innovation! We’re thrilled to announce the 3rd edition of the India-US Defense Acceleration Ecosystem (INDUS-X) Summit in collaboration with Stanford’s Gordian Knot Center for National Security Innovation and the Hoover Institution.”
The Summit will have panel discussions, keynote addresses and roundtable sessions with private and public sector leaders.
"The summit will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, and roundtable sessions with leaders from both the private and the public sectors touching on themes along the lines of strengthening defense advance technology partnerships, funding defense innovation, and resilient supply chains," reads the message by US-India Strategic Partnership Forum on X.
INDUS-X Summit Details
The event will also showcase the latest innovations and technologies from defence and aerospace startups and companies, which intend to attract academics, tech professionals, venture capital firms and accelerators.
Another post of the Forum on X says, "We were thrilled to host the USISPF VII Annual Leadership Summit 2024 in Washington, D.C., celebrating the special bonds between the United States and India. The Summit was the first high-level U.S.-India dialogue post the General Elections in India and touched on themes of the deep friendship between the United States and India and elevating the most important strategic partnership of the 21st century."
The US-India Strategic Partnership Forum was established in 2017. It headquarters is in Washington DC, it is a non-governmental, independent non-profit and non-partisan organization. It has a network of over 400 global companies.
Recently, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also said to build on the defence strategic partnership.
