PTE Exam Fees 2024

The Pearson PLC Group has recently updated the PTE exam fees for Indian students. The PTE exam fees in India for the PTE Academic exam is ₹ 17,000 (inclusive of 18% tax) and that for the PTE Home exam is ₹ 14,435 INR. The base PTE Exam Fee for PTE Academic in India is INR 14,406.78 and an additional 18% tax payable, INR 2,593.22 bringing the total PTE test price to INR 17,000.

PTE Registration Fee 2024

Test takers should note that PTE exam fees, PTE test fees, and PTE fees all refer to the standard PTE Academic exam fee or PTE registration fee of ₹ 17,000 (inclusive of 18% tax) in India. If you don't want to appear for the PTE Academic test, then you can claim a refund 14 calendar days before the test date. PTE Exam Cancellation Fees

Candidates who decide not to pursue their PTE Academic test after booking their exam online have up to 14 calendar days before their test date to claim a full refund. Candidates who cancel the test, with less than 14 calendar days, but at least seven calendar days before their test date will receive a partial refund of 50% of the PTE test fee paid. However, no refunds would be provided to candidates for cancelling the exam less than seven calendar days before. Candidates should note that the cancellation and reschedule policy does not include their PTE test date.

PTE Rescheduling Fees

Candidates who plan to reschedule the test, with less than 14 calendar days, but at least seven full calendar days before their test date will be required to pay 50% of the PTE test fee. No refunds will be provided on rescheduling the exam less than seven calendar days before. Candidates should note that the rescheduled policy does not include their PTE test date.

How to Send PTE Score Report?

Candidates who wish to send PTE scores can do so via an online secure portal set up by PTE. Universities do not accept paper or PDF versions of PTE Academic score reports. PTE Test takers should note that the facility of sending PTE scores to universities is free and comes with no added PTE costs. However, candidates would have to follow the steps mentioned below.

  • Login to your myPTE account
  • Click 'View Score Reports'
  • Click 'Send Scores'
  • Type the name of your chosen institution and select your institution
  • Type the name of our chosen course and select your preferred course of study
  • Review your details then scroll down the page and click 'Next' to confirm
  • Repeat for each institution (you can send your PTE scores to as many institutions as you like for free)

Do I need to pay PTE fees every time I appear for the test?

Yes. Candidates should be aware that the PTE registration fee is valid for a single PTE test. Candidates who are looking to appear for a second PTE Academic test would be required to register for the PTE test again and also pay the required PTE exam fees. Hence, candidates are always advised to book their PTE exam slot only after having prepared for the PTE Academic test.

What is PTE Score Validity?

Often candidates are left wondering about the validity of their PTE scores. They should know that their PTE scores are valid for two years from the date of the exam. Once the two years are over, the expired PTE scores would be automatically removed from the test taker's account. 

Can I get a discount on my PTE fees?

As informed earlier, the PTE exam fee is very competitively priced and hence, there are no discounts on the PTE test fees. 

When can I appear for the PTE test again?

Often, candidates are unable to get their desired PTE scores and look to re-appear for the PTE test again. Candidates wanting to re-take the PTE Academic test can register for a second PTE exam with a gap of five days from the earlier PTE registration. Hence, there is no cap on the number of PTE exam attempts. Only a window period of 5 days must be maintained between two PTE test registrations. Candidates would also be required to pay a second PTE exam fee when registering for the PTE exam. 

What is a Good PTE Score?

A  lot of times, candidates are left wondering about a good PTE score. PTE Academic test takers should be aware that every university would have a required PTE score and candidates are expected to achieve the same or a higher value to be eligible for admission to the university.
