Scholarship Overview

Talent Scholarship is awarded by LaSalle College – Vancouver for individuals who want to create a niche in the creative arts field. The scholarship covers up to 20% of the annual, full-time tuition for new students enrolled in a degree and diploma programs. LaSalle College - Vancouver Talent Scholarship is offered to eligible new students in the study areas like Interior Design, Game Design and VFX, Graphic Design, Audio and Film, Fashion, and Culinary.

Instructions to apply for LaSalle College – Vancouver Talent Scholarship

LaSalle College – Vancouver Talent Scholarship is open for international as well as domestic students. To be eligible for this scholarship, international applicants must have received an offer letter. Applicants are also required to ensure that the completed scholarship application gets submitted two weeks prior to the program start date. In order to apply for the scholarship, the following things from applicants are required:

  • portfolio of work
  • a minimum of a 250-word personal narrative statement specifying the talents and aspirations and how the portfolio justifies the development
  • a signed and completed application form

Assessment Criteria & Terms and Conditions for LaSalle College - Vancouver Talent Scholarship

The applicants who are going to apply for this scholarship will be assessed as per their creativity, community spirit, values, and social responsibility. According to the terms and conditions for LaSalle College – Vancouver Talent Scholarship, applicants must be registered in a full course load of 12 or more credits each quarter (exceptions could be there) to be eligible. Apart from this, students should maintain good academic standing with a minimum of 3.0 GPA each quarter. If students do not meet this GPA, then this may result in the forfeit of the scholarship award. Note that the scholarship award shall be applied to tuition fees, disbursed quarterly, and commence in the second quarter. Note that if an applicant is awarded a scholarship, then he / she shall be notified via email.

Student responsibilities after receiving LaSalle College - Vancouver Talent Scholarship

The recipients of the LaSalle College – Vancouver Talent Scholarship are expected to contribute to the community of the college, assist prospective students, and take part in the events. They shall be required to support the promotion of the institution by participating in testimonials, social media, website content, local marketing events, and some other initiatives. Besides these, the recipients of the Talent Scholarship are also required to participate in the events like Orientation, Open House, Portfolio show, etc as student ambassadors. They are also required to support the admissions department and program directors when needed for on-campus tours, events, alumni events, and other duties. Students are also expected to provide up to one hour of time for every $100 awarded.

  • Recipients of the Associate of Arts bursary are not eligible for any other bursaries, scholarships or awards
  • Students must have an active admissions application – international applicants must have received a Letter of Offer and domestic students must have full or conditional acceptance

  • Students must maintain good academic standing, with a minimum 3.0 GPA each quarter. Failure to meet academic obligations may result in forfeit of the scholarship award. Any tuition or fees associated with repeating a failed subject will be the responsibility of the student
