University of Technology Sydney History
University of Technology Sydney was first founded in January 1988 when the New South Wales Institute of Technology was renamed. The New South Wales Institute of Technology was first founded in 1964 and then later became UTS.Later in 1988, the School of Design at the former Sydney College of the Arts became a part of the University of Technology Sydney
Nine faculties as well as 25 schools had been established as a part of the Academic Structure in 1991. By 2005, Professor Vicki Sara had been appointed as the Chancellor of the university.
