Georgetown University provides great opportunities for internship.
Tips: My transition was quite smooth as I had heavy exposure to American culture before I moved to the US. For students who might not, it could be slightly difficult, especially with the culture around greetings and expected politeness. Food will be a problem for Indian students. However, Georgetown offers a variety of options not of great quality but manageable. I was unable to avail any scholarships as I did not qualify for the need-based scholarships. I am greatly satisfied with my university, course, and the country.
Likes (Post study jobs): Most companies are willing to take students who have STEM OPT extensions on their F1 visas. Almost all job roles are available, except those that require security clearance from the US government, with salaries being similar to those offered to native-born citizens.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The residence options for Indian students post-graduation are highly limited due to the H1-B nationality quota, and with the uncertainty around the coming Trump administration immigration policies, it is hard to predict anything. I would prefer to settle in the US if there were more avenues to acquire a residence.

- the Tax LL.M. program, entering students must have either taken a basic federal income tax course as part of their graduate coursework, or alternatively, take our on-demand online course, Foundations of Federal Income Taxation prior to matriculation into the program. Foundations of Federal Income Taxation is a non-credit course.
