About Lewis University
Established in 1932, Lewis University is a private, co-educational university based in Romeoville, United States. Currently, the university is home to about 6,513 students. Lewis University History
Lewis Uni started its journey as the Holy Name Technical School for boys under the direction of the Chicago Archdiocese and Bishop Bernard J. Sheil. In 1952, the school was renamed the Lewis College of Science and Technology. Initially, the special emphasis on instruction was for Aviation Technology. In 1960, the De La Salle Christian Brothers assumed the direction of the institution.
