Students say that the school is intellectually and creatively stimulating, a thriving community full of well-behaved, driven staff members. Juilliard is a fantastic institution because it encourages cross-disciplinary artistic collaboration. The school gives a lot of opportunities to its students. Students considered it a wonderful place to get to experience and experiment with a plethora of ideas that will stretch you in dynamic ways. For graduate students, it is a place where musicianship will be demanded at the highest level, in the best way. 

Some of the reviews mentioned that the rooms are small but worth the location and proximity to the school. The biggest difficulty that students face is the demanding work, in both quality and quantity. Students also find it very difficult to fully absorb a lot of information and they find themselves more often in survival mode. Students suggest taking extra-curricular work keeping their busy schedule in mind.

Students can get on-campus employment through Juilliard Work-Study (JWS) programs offered by the school.The majority of international students can work under the JWS program; however, before taking any on-campus jobs, they should confirm with the Office of International Advisement (OIA). Under the program, students work at school and are paid hourly. Pay rates typically range from $16.00 to $25.00 per hour, and vary based on the level of responsibility, specialised skills required, etc. Annual earnings generally range from $1,000 to $3,500 per year. There are around 40 different on-campus departments that hire students. The departments hire throughout the year.

The Juilliard School charges a non-refundable fee of $110 (INR 9229.05) which students have to submit along with the application form. If the application fee is not submitted, the application will not be considered. Students can pay the online fee online using credit/debit cards or PayPal.
