Wade College: Courses, Admission, Cost

Wade College is a well-recognised private college of learning which is located in Dallas in Texas. In the year 1962, it was established as ‘Miss Wade's Fashion Merchandising College’ and was named as Wade College in the year 1999. It awards Associate of Arts degrees and Bachelor of Arts degrees in the fields of fashion design and merchandising. When founded, the college was situated in the Turtle Creek area. It was in the year 1965 that it shifted to the Dallas Apparel Mart in the Dallas Market Centre area. Again, in 2004, it got relocated to its present location in the Infomart. Owing to the location currently, the students of the college are provided with several opportunities to work with and learn about the trade events and major retail markets. Since the year 1985, the college has been accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) to award bachelor’s and associate's degrees.

The college's new campus in Infomart is set on 25 acres of land in Texas. It is located near DFW International Airport and can be conveniently accessed through rail, car and bus. The main campus of the college occupies about 16,000 square feet area in the Informart and houses classrooms, storage rooms, laboratories, administrative and faculty offices and learning resource centre. The campus of the college is well-equipped with all the facilities needed for a conducive learning environment. It facilitates student services to help students with admission requirements and in providing adequate information on student organisations, programmes offered and resource and student activities. Also, a fine number of qualified and experienced faculty members are engaged by the college to ensure quality learning experience to its students.

Several programmes are offered by the college for the students to choose from as per their interest. The associate degree programmes offered at the college require at least 60 semester credit hours for the completion of the degree. Full-time students can graduate 16 months once they enter an associate degree programme. The college's bachelor degree programmes require at least 120 semester credit hours for the completion of the degree. Students at Wade College get a chance to specialise across a wide variety of fields including merchandise marketing, information technology, interior design and fashion design. After a period of 32 months, full-time students can graduate once they enter a bachelor degree programme.
