Yes, Xavier University offers a range of merit-based scholarships to their undergraduate international students, that are based on an applicant’s academic performance and holistic review of their application and materials. This merit-based scholarship starts at $22,000 per academic year and is renewable for all four years of undergraduate study. Students must note that Xavier offers a generous scholarship package to all admitted students, however, this will not cover the entirety of the costs to attend the university.

Xavier also provides students the opportunity to apply for Competitive scholarships and they must apply by December 1, 2024 for the fall semester, to be considered for these additional opportunities, which consist of:

Eligibility Requirements and Restrictions:

Applicants must be accepted into a degree-seeking or licensure-seeking programme at Xavier University to be considered for a graduate assistantship. Students admitted provisionally or in the application process are not eligible for graduate assistantships. Graduate assistants must be registered for a minimum of six credit hours each semester to be eligible for tuition remission and may not receive tuition remission from other sources such as, but not limited to, the Veterans Benefits Administration, employers, or scholarships. Xavier employees and their dependents are not eligible to apply. Tuition remission may only be applied to the graduate assistant’s Bursar’s account for tuition accrued during the semester (s) worked. Appointment as a graduate assistant may affect other financial aid eligibility. A student may receive more than one graduate assistantship but contract hours may not exceed a total of 20 hours per week.

Yes, Xavier University believes that student employment is an extension of the educational experience and thus allows students to work while studying as long as they fulfill the following criteria listed below:

  • Student is enrolled full-time at Xavier during the Academic year;
  • They work up to 20 hours per week (all positions combined) during the academic year; and
  • They work a maximum of 25 hours per week (all positions combined) during breaks and the summer semester. Exceptions to work more than 25 hours during the summer semester may be available for some positions.
