TET stands for the Teachers Eligibility Test. This exam is conducted in order to recruit teachers for government schools. The central government conducts its own test called CTET to recruit teachers for its schools, while each state conducts a separate test to do the same. It has been made mandatory by the Ministry of Human Resources and Development to recruit teachers by conducting TET entrance exam.
Eligibility:
1. You should be of Indian origin.
2. A graduation degree in any stream.
3. Minimum of 50 percent marks.
4. A B.Ed degree is also required.

Having an appropriate degree:Teaching requires different levels of degree depending upon the level of middle or high school teaching. Primary school teaching requires Ted. (Diploma in teaching education), a 2-year Diploma programme having a 12th pass as a minimum qualification.
