A brief introduction about GMC, Surat.
Placements: As we all know, MBBS is a professional course. In our country, India, to be a doctor is a very respectable job. As this college is a government medical college, everyone has to do an internship here only, and you will get a good stipend. Then you will be getting a job in primary health care.
Infrastructure: The college building is new, so there are no concerns about the college infrastructure. The classrooms are also too well and give you a proper vibe of a medical college. The good thing is that you will get AC and Wi-Fi facilities in the college's classrooms.
Faculty: All the departments in the first year of MBBS are good. But, as we all know, MBBS is a very tough course, so you have to do a lot of self-studying as well. The exam can feel a bit difficult, and also, as it's a professional course, you have to score at least 50%.

The college has a good infrastructure.
Placements: Placements are very good, but there are not any direct placements. As there is a good alumni network and college reputation, students will be preferred. A 1-year of internship is offered by the college. We should not worry about placements here.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. Since there is new construction of the classroom, labs, etc. The hostel is almost prepared and has good facilities. There is Wi-Fi in the lecture hall. The canteen is pretty good. There are many options for mess and they are quite affordable with decent quality of food.
Faculty: Faculty members are very experienced and have pretty good knowledge about the course. Most of them are from the same college itself. The course curriculum is updated from time to time. Exams are conducted from time to time with many class tests to prepare us for the university exams.
Other: Students will love their college life here.

Best college in Gujarat - GMC, Surat.
Placements: In our bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery course, there was placement in internships of one year, in which 250 students were placed. Through our course, we get MBBS degree, which could help us to join other private sector hospitals.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of our college was so nice and well-maintained, classrooms were hi-tech with air-conditioning system. Hostal facilities were also good. Mess food was not so much good but canteen was good. Sports were very well in our college. Many game facilities were present here.
Faculty: Teachers were highly qualified. The teaching quality was so brilliant. Our course was based on CBME curriculum which was so relevant. There were very difficult semester exams, and pass criteria in our college was 50%.

A great choice for MBBS in terms of fees, city, and infrastructure.
Placements: Placements are not there in MBBS degree. Most of the graduates opt for a specialty (post-graduation) and prepare for NEET PG exam through which they get a branch and a college. The average package of 1st year president is 1.1 LPA - 1.5 LPA depending upon college and state. Internships are compulsory part of the MBBS course for 1 year after the 4th year which has to be done in the same college. The salary of intern in our college is Rs 20,500 per month.
Infrastructure: Lecture halls are huge, with AC and Wi-Fi. We have seating capacity of 300 students. Library is quite large and almost all books relevant to the course amd more are available. There is a reading area in the library and a reading room i.e., a 3-storey AC building above. Library is open 24X7 for self-studying. Current hostels are average but new buildings are almost ready and should be available around next academic year. Mess and canteen are very good with very genuine prices. There are 4-5 messess on the campus to choose from.
Faculty: Teachers are great and subtly qualified (except biochemistry department). Usually, PPT is used for teaching but other modes like SDL (Self Directed Learning) and practical are also conducted every week. Course curriculum is relevant and kept the same through frequent updates by NMC. Exams include 2 internals, 1 prelim, and a university exam. Difficult is average and nice marks can be scored by reading the Supras (important points) by the seniors. 50% is the passing percentage.
Other: In healthcare, MBBS is the most respected and money-making degree unarguably. Fest of our college is called Eucrasia. It should be held annually but it is not unfortunate. It is not very well sponsored by the college, nor any other sports events so the quality of events depends on the sponsorships which we have to get. Many scholarships are there for SC/ST and OBC students of state quota like Digital Gujarat, Yuva Reliance Foundation, Vidhyasarathi, etc. The amount differs and can be checked on the site. Sports facilities are not good and there seems to be no change in the immediate future about that.

Campus life at GMCS is worth all the struggle in NEET.
Placements: Our medical college does not have a placement cell but the Government of Gujarat offers a compulsory paid one-year internship to each, and every student of the MBBS course. The stipend offered is fixed and it is Rs. 20,500 per month. During the internship, students have to work as intern doctors at the new civil hospital in Surat. For 1st year post-internship, there is a one-year compulsory bond, starting with one year of compulsory service for the government of Gujarat, which is also paid, i.e., Rs. 80,500 per month.
Infrastructure: Government Medical College, Surat has fully equipped lecture halls, seminar halls, practical labs, and fully functioning tertiary care. New Civil Hospital Surat is affiliated with it. The college has a central ground to organises all fests and other events. Hostels are not that good, but the new hostels are under construction and will be available for the 2026 batch. There are 4 messes each with pretty decent food. There are two canteens on the campus which offer great food. The library is fully air-conditioned and equipped with all the latest facilities, journals, books and magazines. Sports are held annually.
Faculty: Our course curriculum is divided into four and a half years and one year of internship. 1st year, 2nd year and 3rd year comprises of 2 parts, i.e., 3rd 1st and 3rd 2nd final year. There are a total of 19 subjects in MBBS with 11 subjects in the final year. The course curriculum is very stressful and requires hard work and dedication to complete. Faculty members of respective subjects are post-graduates in their respective fields and have great experiences in their own fields. Exams are very difficult and the pass criteria is 50%, which is comparatively huge.
Other: The campus life is great. An annual college fest at GMCS is Eucrasia which is held every year in the march month. Extracurricular activities like volleyball tournaments, cricket tournaments, chess competitions, and TT competitions are held. Clubs in the college include the music club Rhapsody, dance club Anaya, artery club, light camera action Cinematography club, penumbra Photography club, and rangmanch a Drama club. The best thing about my course is career safety because a doctor earns pretty decent. The management should be improved in our course.
