Banasthali Vidyapith Academic and Research Facilities
Research has been an integral component of higher education in Banasthali even before its attainment of Deemed University status. However, initially, it was mainly in the form of Doctoral studies. Over the past ten years, the research efforts have expanded to include sponsored research and consultancy projects in various disciplines. A development in this direction has been made recently with the sanction of a Centre for Research in Mathematical Sciences at Banasthali University by the Department of Science & Technology. The establishment of this centre is going to boost the research environment in the institute as well as the state.
Encouraging and sustaining innovation and research in the regular academics of the institution required a sturdy administrative courage and strong concern for academic excellence, and the Banasthali University has continuously evinced it through its functioning.
Banasthali Vidyapith Hostel and Residential Facilities
Banasthali Vidyapith is a residential institute, which means that the students admitted to the college will have to join a hostel. This compulsion is not there if the student is a ward of the worker staying on campus or the student is residing within a radius of 2.5 km from the campus. There are 31 hostels on the campus of the university. The number of rooms in each hostel is different, ranging from 80 to 120. All rooms are well furnished with basic amenities provided. Each hostel has a separate mess, newspaper and telephone facility. It is the only university in Rajasthan to provide personal computers with internet connectivity to the PG students.

The library at Banasthali Vidyapeeth provides comprehensive resources to support research, teaching and learning needs. The Central Library of Banasthali is very rich in its contents to facilitate research. Internet access is provided to the library by way of Campus Networking and by connecting to INFLIBNET. Access to more than 9300 full-text online journals is also made available under the UGC INFONET scheme. There is are adequate number of books, magazines, journals and other sources to support the aim of academic excellence. The library commits to:

the Central Library’s collection of 200000 books, reports, theses, dissertations, bound journals, manuscripts, albums, pamphlets, maps, charts, audio/video cassettes, gramophone records, CDs/DVDs, atlas, slides and many more. The library currently receives over 300 national and international journals. About 9000+ journals are accessible online under UGC-INFONET Consortia. The library offers Reference Services, Users’ Orientation Services, Circulation Services, Current Awareness Services, and Plagiarism Checking. In addition to the Central Library, there are 9 departmental libraries in the higher education system and 3 school libraries. All the libraries have been using the LIBSYS, an Integrated Library Management software package with all the modules for the library housekeeping operations.

Minibuses are run as shuttle service at the interval of 15 minutes. Bus is also provided to the Banasthali-Newai Railway station 7 kms. away from the campus. The Rajasthan Roadways provides regular to and fro bus service between Jaipur and the campus via Newai almost every hour from 6.00 am to 6.00 pm.
