B.A. Program (Philosophy + Psychology) - Batch of 2029
Offered by Mata Sundri College for Women, University of Delhi
2.6
3Placements2Infrastructure3Faculty2Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
Good but only hyped because of DU.
Placements: I don't know about it as I am a fresher, but I heard that placement is not good in Psychology and Philosophy. In vocational courses, it has good placement. Internship rates I also don't know, but I heard there are fewer opportunities, only a few people get them.
Infrastructure: Average, as fans, ACs, and lifts don't work. It's so hot in summers, and classrooms are not well-equipped. The ceiling falls, there is leakage in rains, lifts don't work, and we have to climb four floors. The campus is so small, but the auditorium is good. Classrooms need improvement. The library is very good.
Faculty: Average. Vocational course faculty is good, but some teachers are only there as they are from the Sikh minority and don't know how to teach properly. Many teachers are good, but some are not, they only read out the text, don't connect with students, and can't explain properly.

Above average college, faculty is really good, placement is average, infrastructure is above average
Placements: My seniors did get a great package as they were enrolled in the placement cell, and I think you should join this society when in your 3rd year. The highest package is 25 LPA and the lowest was 1 LPA. The most famous companies are Samsung, Deloitte, etc. I think maybe HR.
Infrastructure: Gargi has a good infrastructure for science students with all the chemicals and equipment. We have a new building as well, and the library is also nice. But still, the science squad is not that good. Keep in mind that it's a government college, not a private one. We don't have a hostel; you'll have to live in a PG.
Faculty: Teachers are really good and knowledgeable. Students themselves have to turn up for internships if they want a good placement, but the college provides good internships, so don't worry. 1st year is very chill, senior year gets a bit tough, but you can definitely do it.
Other: I wanted to study about animals and human behaviour, and since I am from a science background, that's why I chose this. Faculty is the best thing. College is overall good, in a safe area for girls. It holds a lot of events and has many societies which work actively. Fests are a bit average nowadays.

Really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: The percentage for placements in B.A. Political Science Hons or any arts course in Mata Sundri College is quite limited. The placement cell, known as Prayas, in my college helps with many good opportunities. The average package is around ₹3.5 LPA. Top companies include Wipro, Deloitte, and Maruti Suzuki.
Infrastructure: Honestly, the library is quite good, it provides a quiet environment for studying. Labs and classrooms are also good. Wi-Fi is average and not available in the hostel as it is still in the making. Canteen food is average, but the medical facilities and sports are very good.
Faculty: Teachers are very much qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful. The way of teaching is also very good, and they help students as well. Yes, it is relevant, as it makes the students ready for the next step after their degree. Semester exams in the college have moderate difficulty.

College is good. There is low quality of infrastructure, but faculty, placements, etc. are good.
Placements: I'm pursuing English Honours in Kirori Mal College. Around 20% of students are placed in my course. The highest package in my course is 13–14 LPA. The average package in my course is 7–8 LPA. The lowest package in my course is 4–5 LPA. Around 60–70% of students got internships from my course.
Infrastructure: There are good facilities. Infrastructure is bad, but all other things are good. There is a good environment in the library and also good Wi-Fi facility. Canteen food is also good and available at reasonable prices. Medical facilities are good, and sports and games facilities are excellent.
Faculty: Teachers are really very helpful and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is excellent. Passing marks are 40% in each paper. Semester exams are not that difficult and are understandable. The English Honours course curriculum is highly relevant and respected.
Other: I took this course because I'm interested in English literature. I'm also interested in writing.

Dissatisfied with the infrastructure but definitely love the lifestyle here.
Placements: The highest package, I guess, 24 LPA of a Maths Hons student. The best placements are there for the role of data analyst, and many just delve into Actuarials.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi and labs are available in my college. A library too is there for studying, and for sports and games, KMC is known for it. This has been one of the coolest things about the infrastructure of the college. Even if we have a break in the college between two classes, there's less scope of boredom.
Faculty: Faculty is nice and qualified. They are seldom strict, seldom too lenient, but overall, they are supportive. Some are too conventional in their way of teaching, for example, bring your notebooks, complete them, and also get them checked, otherwise, this or that.
Other: It is not my first preference, but no regret for sure.

Decent college with amazing professors, average infrastructure, placements, and peaceful campus life
Placements: The teachers help in finding internships and job placements, at least in our department. They have great connections, and they will support you throughout your journey. If you stay in their good books and work hard, you'll surely find something by the end of the third year. The average package is around 4–6 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college isn't the best. I mean, the college overall is decent, but for our course, we do not have a proper media lab yet. However, there are cameras and other basic equipment to help the students learn and practice. The media lab is said to be in the making. There's a canteen which is very affordable, and there's a little café too, which isn't very expensive either. Food at both these places is good, but I prefer the canteen.
Faculty: Faculty is amazing as I previously mentioned. Very supportive and knowledgeable professors in our department. They will treat you like their own and support you throughout. They can be a bit more theory-oriented, but that's DU in general. They teach very well, and they are always up for clearing your doubts.
Other: The crowd, again in our department specifically, is very nice. Can't say the same about the rest of the college.
