Q:   Is the BTech Mechanical Engineering syllabus the same for all colleges?
A:

The BTech Mechanical Engineering syllabus is not the same across all colleges, as every college committee sets a particular coursework pattern at the start of every academic year to be followed for the respective batch. The syllabus includes some core subjects, interesting electives, and lab work that gives detailed knowledge to the students about the workings of the field.

Q:   What bank job profiles are available after completing B.Sc Agriculture in India?
A:

As a BSc Agriculture graduate, you can go for various bank job opportunities. Some popular job profiles include:

  • Specialist officer (Agricultural Field Officer)
  • Junior Agricultural Associate
  • Field Officer
  • Probationary Officer
  • Rural Development Officer
  • Agricultural Officer
Q:   Are private sector BTech jobs better-paying than government jobs?
A:

Well, yes. The private sector BTech jobs in India offer a higher earning potential than the government sector jobs, including promotions, yearly bonuses, performance rewards, etc., along with a plethora of career options across different sectors. Having said that, there is less scope for job stability in the private sector due to market downturns.

The government sector is known for decent job security and other benefits like health insurance and retirement benefits. Rest, you can sit and decide for yourself whatever suits your interests the best. Best wishes.

Good faculty members and campus, but bad exams and environment.
Placements: In my college, only 20% of students got placed. The highest package is 10 LPA, and the lowest placement is 2 LPA. Core branches got good placement, like the agriculture branch placement is done, and mining also got a 16 LPA to 20 Lacs package.
Infrastructure: No Wi-Fi is available. Classrooms and library are good. Labs have old model computers, and they're not in good condition. Hostel facilities are also not good, and the mess has no hygiene, no taste in food, many students have food issues, and no game facilities are available.
Faculty: Faculty members are pretty good at teaching and have a helpful nature as teachers. They help in exams and our studies, but exams are not that good. The paper comes very tough, and they also check the answer sheet very strictly. They are also giving back in many papers with one mark.
Other: I got a government seat in a government college so I can pursue a government degree, pass out with high placement and good knowledge of my subject and field. There is no event or fest. There is no campus crowd.

I am fully satisfied with my college.
Placements: 95% of students got placed. The highest package was 15 LPA and the basic average salary for the job was about Rs 30,000 per month. Top recruiters for my college were Nestle India, Britania, Coca-Cola, Haldiram, Mother Dairy, Amul India, Saras Dairy, Parul Dairy, and many more.
Infrastructure: There was good infrastructure with both different hostels for boys and girls. The college to hostel distance was about 400 meters which was quite near by college. Both college and hostel were on same campus so it's well-planned campus along with canteen. Gym was also available on campus. Labs were also available for the students.
Faculty: Mostly professors were well-experienced and had specific expertise in their own field. They were also well-behaved with students. Pre-practical were always carried out on time. There were solid faculty members with experience and expertise.
Other: A good maintained campus where you could enjoy your college life.

It provides high placements and internships
Placements: I am pursuing my degree with a B.Sc. Agriculture Hons at MPUAT. Currently, I am in the second year, so from 2nd year, I saw that many of my seniors got placed through our college in many companies like Mother Dairy, Paayas, etc. Around 10-20% of students get internships through the course in my college.
Infrastructure: My college is the top agriculture college in Rajasthan. The infrastructure of the college is very good because there is a very high expenditure on that work. It is every year approved through the government and university board. The college has a central London library. All classrooms are smart with all types of equipment for study such as a projector, etc. The college has a good canteen and big grounds for sports.
Faculty: All staff members, including teachers and other government post workers, such as the student section staff members, are very humble, kind, and supportive of students. Exams are held every six months in three steps that are, mid exams, practical exams, and theory exams. They are not for those students who prepare for exams and have a regular study schedule.
Other: I chose this course because I belong to a background that totally depends on agriculture and other works of agriculture except farming, such as animal raising, etc. I have had a little bit of interest in agriculture since childhood, and after 12th I studied about that sector's job opportunities. Then I saw that this sector could be a golden opportunity for me for a job and internship. Many types of events and fests are organised every 15 days such as departmental activities, etc. Scholarship programs are available for SC, ST, and OBC students.
