- Applicants must have a four-year honours degree, or equivalent, from a recognized college or university in an academic discipline relevant to the proposed field of study (such as Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, Education, English, etc.)
- Applicants must have a minimum of nine credit units of undergraduate Linguistics courses, such as LING 111.3, LING 110.3, or LING 112.3, or any structural Linguistics course, such as Phonetics, Phonology, Lexicology, Morphology, Syntax, Semantics, Discourse, or their equivalents. Students not satisfying the nine credit units of Linguistics or equivalent requirement can be accepted on a probational admission basis. These students will be required to complete the requirement within their first year of studies.
- Applicants must have a cumulative weighted average of at least a 70% (USask grade system equivalent)in the last two years of study (ie. 60 credit units).

One of the best , I would say in the whole of canada
Tips: Students should also know about the weather during winter which can be very cold. I have seen many students change universities because of the weather. Talking solely of the university, it is one of the best ones in the country. There are many internships available starting from the second year.

Good University with a small town vibe
Tips: There may be a fee hike, so please do research on that as there was a huge fee hike this year(2022) of around 10k Canadian dollars. For the program of bachelor of commerce, this university has a good business school. Not much to do in the city for leisure, also, very harsh winters.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): Very easy path for permanent residence. Many people who come to this city get their PR approved as soon as their graduation gets completed. If you like small town vibe, this city is for you, or you can change places after you get your permanent residency.
Dislikes (Safety): The second day in the city I wasn’t aware of the safety concerns and went exploring the city and got robbed. The university area is pretty much safe with protective services but the downtown is not a place to go alone. The safety inside university has no concerns.
