Q:   How do I get admission to the University of Alberta?

A: 

International students must meet the entry requirements to get admission at Alberta University. The University of Alberta admission requirements vary as per the course levels. The admission requirements for international students are given below:

  • Undergraduate: Majorly, the applicants must have passed Class 12 from CBSE / CISCE / Indian Boards. Also, students are required to show that they have successfully completed five academic subjects. These will vary as per programme and faculty
  • Master’s programs: Generally, the applicants are required to have completed a 4-year baccalaureate degree, or its academic equivalent. An admission average GPA of 3.0 is required, based on the most recent two years of full-time study (or equivalent)
  • Doctoral programs: Normally, the applicants are required to have completed a master's degree, or its academic equivalent. An admission average GPA of 3.0 is required, based on the most recent two years of full-time study (or equivalent)

Apart from meeting the above-given requirements, the applicants must meet Alberta University English language proficiency requirements.
