IELTS 2026 Registration: Steps to Register for IELTS Exam & Registration Fees

• Offline Registration: Go to the center. If you want face-to-face help, simply visit the nearest IDP branch and ask for a paper form to fill out. The staff helps you. Payment is manual. You must pay the IELTS exam fee via a Demand Draft or a bank slip from the bank. It works well too.

Step 1: Visit the IDP Website. Open the website, ieltsidpindia.com. Go to the official IELTS IDP India website on your browser and click on "Book Now." It is fast.

The IELTS registration steps can be done after completing/filling the 4 major details like: Select Test Date, Personal Details, Additional Information and Make Payment. 

Step 2: Select Your Test Details. Choose your option. Select the IELTS Test Type (Computer or Pen-paper), Module (Academic or General), and your City. Click "Book Now."

Step 3: Check Slot Availability. Look at the available IELTS test dates. The screen shows a calendar with real-time IELTS slot availability where green dates are open. Pick one date.

Step 4: Click on Book Now. Click on the book now to proceed to the next phase of IELTS registration that is filling in Personal Details.

Step 5: Fill Personal Details. Be very careful. Enter your name and passport number exactly as they appear on your original passport. Check it twice.

Step 6: Upload Documents. Scan your passport. Upload a clear copy of the front and last page of your valid passport to finish the IELTS registration. It is mandatory.

Step 8: Review and Pay Fee. Finish the process. Check all your details one last time and pay the IELTS exam fee online. You are done.

Pay the IELTS test fee INR 18,000 online. When payment is done, take a printout of your acknowledgement slip.

After finishing the online IELTS registration, you will get a confirmation message or mail on your registered number or email. If you go for the paper-based IELTS, you can book your slot on any date you like. But if that time slot is full, then they will give you another slot automatically.

IDP IELTS Registration Details: in-Person

Students wanting to take the IELTS exam can walk into any IDP Branch/head office and register using either of the following methods:

IDP IELTS Registration Method - 1 (Online)

• Candidates can register online using the computer at the IDP Branch/head office and pay the IELTS test fee. They would get an immediate confirmation of their seat (this is identical to online registration)
• Candidates would also be required to submit a photocopy of their Passport (first and last page), and observation pages, if any
• Submit the duly signed Terms & Conditions document. Do read it properly before handing it over
• Pay the IELTS exam fee
• Receive your instant acknowledgement letter that confirms your seat in the test

IELTS Exam Registration Method - 2 (Offline)

• In the second method, candidates would be required to fill out the application form available at the IDP office/ Input Node
• They would then be required to sign the Terms & Conditions document provided with the application form
• Append a photocopy of their Passport (first and last page), and observation pages, if any
•  Pay the IELTS examination fees
• Upon payment, request the staff (IDP branch / Input Node) to submit your application form in the online registration system and provide you with the acknowledgement slip of your test booking along with a tentative seat reservation.

• In this alternative method, candidates would be required to download the application form from the official website or collect the application form from their nearest IDP branch office or Input Node.
• Test takers would be required to fill out the application form and submit the duly signed Terms & Conditions document. Do read it properly before handing it over
• Submit a photocopy of your Passport (first and last page), and observation pages, if any

IELTS Registration Methods: Online vs Offline

4. The system will display a calendar. Green dates indicate availability, while Red or Grey dates usually mean the slots are full or unavailable.
