A: 

Yes, the application fee is free. Applicants all over the world can apply to the university without any application fee. However they must pay a certain amount of tuition fees once they get accepted by the university.The Aalto University also provides scholarships for international students studying in a bachelor’s or master’s program. Aalto University offers various scholarships to international students such as Aalto University scholarship.  Aalto University scholarships are merit-based and are granted on a competitive basis. Aalto University scholarships cover either 50 % (Category B) or 100 % (Category A) of the tuition fee.

There aree various factors that affects cost of living such as lifestyle, location of your university, type of accommodation etc. The costs of living are higher in the capital region (Espoo, Helsinki and Vantaa) than elsewhere in the country. Thus, you should prepare to have about 800 euros per month to cover your living costs in Finland as Aalto student. 

Q:   What GPA do you need for Aalto University Finland?

A: 

Applicants applying to Aalto University must meet specific minimum average requirements based on the school they are applying for. However, for international students applying for Aalto University the minimum GPA required by applicants is 3.0. To be admitted to the programme at Aalto  it is recommended to have a strong academic profile, including competitive scores in the GREs.  or GREs.  However, the admission process at Aalto University takes a holistic approach, considering multiple factors in the student's profile. Q:   How to apply for Aalto University scholarships?

A: 

Aalto University scholarships cover either 50 % (Category B) or 100 % (Category A) of the tuition fee. Aalto University scholarships are awarded as tuition fee waivers. If you are a non-EU/EEA citizen, you can apply for the scholarship when you apply to Aalto University. The scholarship application is part of the application form for admission. On the application form, you will be asked questions by which your liability to fees is determined. If you are considered liable to a tuition fee, you will be offered an option to apply or not apply for a Aalto University Scholarship. Scholarship must be applied during the application period. It is not possible to apply for the scholarship after the application period has ended.

Q:   Is it hard to get into Aalto?

A: 

Aalto University is one of the leading universities in Finland. The university is very famous among international students. The university does not publish official data on the acceptance rate. However, as per some unofficial sources, Aalto University has an  acceptance rate between 18% to 20%. With such a low acceptance rate, it is very hard to get into the university. However, if the school doesn't have a counsellor, the students can get a recommendation from a school administrator like a principal or an academic advisor.  This isn’t compulsory however, it would add value to the applicants.

  • Applicants must also submit additional English Langauge requirements.

Graduate application requirements:
