For careers in European policy focused on emerging technologies including AI, candidates can apply for Talos Fellowship - Spring 2025. The application deadline is October 13, 2024.

The Fellowship will provide 8 weeks of online training from January 29 to March 19 through EU AI Policy Fundamentals Programme. There will be a week summit in Brussels between March 22 to March 28, 2024.

Application Process

The application form has three sections. It takes one hour to complete the process.

  • Write a short essay about the suitability for the Talos Fellowship
  • Reply to the additional questions about your preferences related to the program.

"We are interested in candidates who are excited about furthering international collaboration on AI governance. You can indicate interest to be considered for an international governance specialisation of the programme," reads the official notification.

"Experience the full scope of our training track by participating in our 8-week online EU AI Policy Fundamentals Programme and attending our 7-day Brussels Summit. Secure a 4-6 month placement at a respected think tank, complemented by a stipend to support your efforts," added the notification.








Ideal candidates' profile

The candidates should have the following qualities:

  • They should have excellent communication skills to interact with the internal and external stakeholders.
  • They must also be relentless in producing high-quality results under pressure.
  • Must have a deep interest in emerging technologies including AI and on its effects on society.
  • Should have completed their undergraduate degree.
  • There is a strong preference for candidates with EU citizenship.

The fellows will later pursue roles in applied research and politics.

The placement organizations include prestigious institutes like the Future Society, Centre for European Policy Studies, and more. While working on the project, the fellows will engage in real-world situations, build industry networks and contribute to policy research.
