Student leaders called for nationwide civil disobedience campaign

There is a huge backlash against Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's government due to the ongoing violence in the country. Scores of protestors in Dhaka are demanding the PM's resignation after a violent police crackdown. The student leaders on Saturday called for a nationwide civil disobedience campaign.

There are several messages running on the social media platform X. Following are the few reactions -

"The "anti-reservation" protest in Bangladesh has slowly turned into a civil war, and now innocent Hindus are being targeted. Yesterday, a Hindu leader Haradhan Roy & his nephew are brutally lynched. The global left/IsIamic ecosystem has complete backing of this violent protest," reads one of the message on X.

"Hi @jacksonhinklle . Please support Bangladeshi students! in Bangladesh going on a peaceful and reasonable protest.. Government is fully corrupted . students are protesting for quota! but police are firing on innocent students without any hesitation by the order of government..," said another message on X.

"Protesters in Dhaka demanded Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's resignation after a violent police crackdown. Protest leader Asif Mahmud urged supporters to "prepare bamboo sticks and liberate Bangladesh," says another message.
