The LLM Energy and Environmental Law course at Birmingham University Dubai will equip the students with in-demand skills in law which will help them meet the demands of climate change legislation and in challenging global energy issues.

The University of Birmingham Dubai is currently accepting the application form for LLM Energy and Environmental Law. The duration is one year for full-time and two years for part-time. The part-time course will start in January 2024 and the full-time and part-time course will start in September 2024, according to the official statement.

The total fee for the part-time study for January 2024 entry is AED 51,932 and for September 2024 entry, the annual fee for full-time study is AED 114,250 and for part-time, it is AED 57,125.

How to Apply?

There is no application fee to apply for the course. Interested candidates can apply to this course by following the steps given below:

  • The candidates need to click on ‘apply now’ to start the application process.
  • Upload the documents including personal details, copies of qualifications, personal statements, and references.

The application processing time is 10 working days after the application and documents are submitted, then only the university decides if the application is selected or not.

“International qualifications which are equivalent to a UK honours degree in Law will be considered. If your first language is not English you must provide an English language qualification. Recognised qualifications include - IELTS: 6.5 with no less than 6.0 in any band,” reads the official statement.








“Each module has been designed by a University of Birmingham academic with the needs of the future lawyer in mind. The modules will provide you with a grounding in common law and international approaches to commercial legal issues. You’ll be taught by experts, often the authors of key legal texts, many of whom also have extensive experience in international practice. You will develop significant technical expertise and an international perspective, enhancing your career prospects,” added the official statement.







The program is designed to be flexible and the full-time course runs from September to September. There are a total of six models with the first term and term having three modules each. Full-time and part-time programs run parallelly, and the university gives the options of studying three modules per year over two years.

“We offer a combination of evening and weekend classes which are designed to accommodate working professionals and those who choose to study full-time,” said the university.
