Butler University USA Offers Graduate Assistantships, Fellowships
The last date to apply for the Graduate Assistantships and Fellowships at the university is January 1, 2024.
Study in US: Butler University is offering a limited number of Graduate Assistantships, Tuition Waivers and Fellowships to fall intake and returning students. The last date to apply for the Graduate Assistantships and Fellowships is January 1, 2024.
"New students applying for entry in the spring semester will not be eligible for a graduate assistantship, fellowship, or tuition waiver, but may apply for the following academic year," says the official notification.
The Graduate Assistantships cover 15 credit hours of tuition per academic year or can also provide a stipend paid over nine months. These assistants will get to work with the staff supervisor or faculty to find out the schedule and specific duties.
The positions include Computer Lab, Butler Symphony Orchestra, Collaborative Piano, Bassoon Performance/Bassoon Reed Company, Music Theory Tutor, Concert Bands, Musicology, Jazz, Music Theory Tutor, Musicology, Percussion, Indianapolis Symphonic Choir Fellowship, Recruitment and Outreach, and Piano Pedagogy.
How To Apply For Graduate Assistantships At Butler University
Interested candidates should follow these steps to apply for the Assistantships:
Applicants must fill out the Butler Application on the official website and it should include JCA Music Graduate Supplement.
Two letters of recommendation are required, which should comment on your academic and musical abilities. The letters should be emailed to JCAadmissions@butler.edu or submitted through the Application for Graduate Admission (preferred).
Applicants must submit any pre-screening materials and schedule an interview/audition.
International students need to submit - evidence of financial support, a clear copy of their passport, and TOEFL scores or equivalent proof of English proficiency.
Butler Gets $343,000 Legacy Grant From Christel DeHaan Family Foundation
To support the Christel DeHaan Visiting International Theatre Artist program, the Christel DeHaan Family Foundation has granted a $343,000 Legacy Grant to Butler University.
