Cambridge Offers Rowan Williams Cambridge Studentship

Study in UK: Cambridge University is offering Rowan Williams Cambridge Studentship. It was established by the Cambridge Trust to support students who face extreme challenges in studying at Cambridge University. This studentship is available for all subjects at any level and is tenable at any college.

"Applicants should be from an area of instability or zone of conflict and/or have been at risk of discrimination, persecution, suffering, violence or other abuse of their human rights," reads the official statement.

Rowan Williams Cambridge Studentship covers the tuition fees and other allowances such as visa, travel and immigration health surcharge costs, and the awardee also gets the annual stipend for a single person.

To apply for this studentship, the applicants must first apply for an undergraduate or postgraduate course at the University of Cambridge by the deadline of the course they are applying to and then they must separately apply for the Rowan Williams application form by January 31, 2024.








Eligibility Criteria For Rowan Williams Cambridge Studentship

The following are the criteria, the applicants need to fulfil to apply for the studentship:

  • They should be from a zone of conflict or an area of instability.
  • Applicants must have a conditional offer from the University of Cambridge for any program.
  • They must have been at risk of persecution, discrimination, violence, suffering or other abuse of their human rights.

"The Rowan Williams Cambridge Studentships are not available for courses offered by the Institute of Continuing Education, premium rate courses offered by the Judge Business School (including MBA, MFin, EMBA etc.) or for courses where the fees are charged at the higher clinical rate," says the official statement.







Cambridge Publishing Highlights Black History Month

In the UK, October marks Black History Month to understand the impact of Black heritage and culture. Cambridge is also looking to publish journals and books that reflect a broad spectrum of knowledge and ideas on the related topic.

While commenting on this, Cecelia A. Cancellara, Publisher in Cambridge’s New York office said, "While it is wonderful to honour and celebrate these voices during Black History Month, it is important to note that Black history is an integral part of Cambridge’s publishing program, and one that I and others commission, publish, and promote not just this month, but every month.”
