Charles Darwin University Australia invites applications for Competitive Round Scholarship
International students can apply for the Competitive Round Scholarship at Charles Darwin University by 30 September 2024.
Charles Darwin University Australia is currently accepting the applications for Competitive Round Scholarship. The last date to apply for the scholarship is 30 September 2024. The 2025 Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarship is open for both domestic and international students.
The RTP stipend scholarships are awarded by the Australian Government to students with exceptional research potential. The scholarship is provided for the general living costs of the students. Under this, AU$32,192 (2024 rate) per annum tax-free is paid in fortnightly instalments for full-time students, and AU$16,096 (2024 rate) per annum, is taxable and paid fortnightly for part-time students.
Additional benefits of Competitive Round Scholarships include maternity leave, paid sick leave and relocation allowance which is up to $2,500 for international students and $2,000 for domestic students.
These scholarships will start between 6 January to 31 March 2025 in a Higher Degree by Research at Charles Darwin University.

"The Dean of Graduate Studies will approve all scholarship offers based on the recommendation of the CDU HDR Scholarship Working Party. Scholarship offers are subject to applicants meeting the admission criteria outlined in the CDU HDR Admissions Policy," reads the official statement of the university.
The international student's stipend will be assessed based on Qualifications which is up to a maximum of 5 points and refereed publication again of a maximum of 5 points.
"As outlined in the Commonwealth Scholarship Guidelines (Research) 2017 University’s are able to give priority to a class of students such as Indigenous students, low socioeconomic status (SES) students, students undertaking research in a particular discipline or emerging area of research strength, or students undertaking a HDR for the first time," added university's statement.
RTP Scholarship Details
The university can provide either of the following types of support - RTP fees to pay the tuition fees of a higher degree by research, RTP stipend given to students undertaking a higher degree by research, and RTP Allowances to manage the ancillary costs of a higher degree by research which includes health cover costs, academic publication costs and thesis printing.
