Study in Australia: Deakin University has retained the top spot on the Global Rankings For Sports Science Schools for the sixth time. It won it for the first time in 2016.

Deakin University Retains Top Spot In Global Rankings For Sports Science Schools

Deakin University's School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences and the Institute for Physical Activity and Nutrition (IPAN) has again retained their top spot in the prestigious Shanghai Rankings Global Ranking of Sports Science Schools and Departments.

The Australian university has won this award for the sixth time. It won this first time in 2016, and then in 2017. Starting from 2021, it has been continuously winning it till 2024.

Deakin University Vice-Chancellor Professor Iain Martin said,The award recognised exceptional and sustained achievements in teaching, research and innovation. This is a timely acknowledgement as we celebrate Deakin's 50th anniversary and cement our position as one of Australia's largest universities excelling in both education and research. Our distinctive approach is particularly evident in our School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences, led by Professor Brad Aisbett, and in IPAN under Deakin Distinguished Professor Jo Salmon, where our teaching, research and support teams work with our partners to deliver transformative benefits for society that create global impact.”
