DST India invites applications for BRICS Young Scientist Forum in Russia

The events will be held between November 25 to November 29 in Sochi, Russia. The applications are invited from the young researchers.
Study in Russia: DST India has invited applications from young researchers for the seventh BRICS Young Innovator Prize and the ninth BRICS Young Scientist Forum events. These will be held in Sochi, Russia from November 25 to November 29, 2024.
The last date to apply for both these events is October 24, 2024. The researchers should be below the age of 40 as of November 1, 2024, and doing their research work in India. For the selected candidates, NIAS will book the tickets.
Documents Needed
The application should be in a PDF file and should contain the following documents in the same order:
- Filled application form with nomination by the head of the institution.
- The PDF file must contain recommendations later by the head/supervisor of the department.
- Updated resume.
- Passport copy with front and back pages.
BRICS Young Scientist Forum has a network of scientists who use innovation and research to solve societal issues. “Research and development in the field of Science, Engineering and other allied disciplines received a substantial fillip as the BRICS Young Scientists Forum created a pool of creative youth in Science & Technology. Accelerating both individual and collective change, the conclave built a BRICS leadership (BRICS Youth Alumni) and reinforced its regional STI policies, young skill development and entrepreneurship,” reads the official statement.
The BRICS Young Scientists Forum was held in September 2016 by India to offer opportunities for young scientists to engage and network. The BRICS Young Innovator Prize was added in 2018. It aims to recognize young researchers who contributed outstandingly through their innovations.
