ETS announces TOEFL India Championship for Study Abroad Aspirants
TOEFL India Championship: The national level competition is offering a total prize money worth INR 15 Lacs. The championship is open to college graduates, third and fourth-year college students who aspire to study abroad and working professionals.
ETS (Educational Testing Service), the conducting body of TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), announced the TOEFL India Championship, a national-level competition that is offering prize money to Indian study abroad aspirants.
TOEFL India Championship will consist of two rounds - Round 1 involves a 20-minute quiz while Round 2 requires participants to take the TOEFL iBT test up to July 31, 2024, offering the opportunity to compete for a total prize money of INR 11 lacs to further their study abroad ambitions.
The championship is designed specifically for Indian students with total prize money of INR 15 lacs to be won. It offers participants a platform to demonstrate English proficiency and academic excellence.
While commenting on the TOEFL Championship, Sachin Jain – Country Manager, India & South Asia, ETS said: “The TOEFL competition is an opportunity for participants to showcase their English proficiency skills and win prize money that could support part cost of their overseas education journey. TOEFL: Latest Updates
Recently, ETS launched the TOEFL TestReady platform – the online platform to aid students in efficient preparation with personalized learning paths and progress tracking.
TOEFL scores are accepted by top European universities and most preferred in France and Germany, and in all colleges across UK, US, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.
TOEFL 2023 report, released recently, showed a number of interesting insights. The report suggested that the highest average score in this English proficiency exam was seen among candidates from Dehradun where the average score of test takers was 105.6. This was followed by Guntur (105.5), Mysuru (104.1) and Delhi (103.5).
Most of the students who appeared in TOEFL, opted for a major in computing and information technology (IT) at a foreign university in 2023, as reported by The Mint.
