Study Abroad: During his visit to IT and HRD Minister N Lokesh at his residence, Undavalli, National University of Singapore Prof. MVR Chaudhary discussed the main factors contributing to the declining ranking of Andhra Pradesh universities, the main reason according to him is the lack of innovation and research.

Prof. MVR Chaudhary serves as the Senior Executive Director of the Department of Strategic India and Initiatives.

He pointed out that if these areas can be improved there will be significant improvements in the overall performance and rankings. The National University of Singapore is ready to assist the state universities in improving education quality by sharing policies and essential curriculum changes. He also invited students and academic experts of Andhra Pradesh to visit the National University of Singapore and observe their adopted methods, as reported by Indian Express.

The minister has welcomed the support extended by the Professor.

NUS College announces two new professorships

NUS College is the honours college of the National University of Singapore. In honour of two distinguished academic leaders, it has announced the new Richard C Levin Professorship and Tan Chorh Chuan Professorship. These leaders have significant influence in shaping advancing knowledge, pedagogy, and inspiring critical thinking.

While announcing the professorship, NUS President Professor Tan Eng Chye said, “These professorships recognise two outstanding and visionary academic leaders – Prof Tan and Prof Levin – for their unwavering commitment to academic excellence and deep passion for driving innovation, inspiring students, and advancing knowledge to solve the problems of tomorrow. Their legacies will continue to influence and shape the future of NUS College.”








Professor Simon Chesterman, Dean of NUSC, said, “This initiative celebrates the values that Rick and Chorh Chuan stand for and will enable like-minded leading educators to teach at NUS College. The professorships will support the cross-appointment of existing NUS faculty or attract visiting professors so that we can bring in the very best educators from NUS or around the world to teach at NUS College.”
