NYU Announces Record Increase In Applications To Class Of 2029
NYU has announced that for the first time, the applications have surpassed the 120,000 mark, which is a 3% increase as compared to last year.
Study in US: NYU announced that for the first time, the applications for the Class of 2029 have exceeded the mark of 120,000. For next fall, the applications have increased by 3% when compared with the previous year.
Out of the total applications received, the university has accepted nearly 6,500 applications for first-year students who will be joining the university next fall on campuses in Shanghai, Abu Dhabi and New York.
The university has witnessed a significant increase in applications over the last decade when the applications have increased by more than double. This year, it received 120,633 applications, of which nearly 25,000 were Early Decision (ED) applications, up by 10% as against the previous year.
MJ Knoll-Finn, NYU’s senior vice president of enrollment management & student success said, “It is exciting and humbling to have so many wonderful, talented students apply to NYU from all over the US and the world, and particularly to have such a large increase in applicants for whom NYU is their first choice. NYU’s global presence, our wide range of academic offerings, our commitment to excellence and rigor, and our efforts at affordability are drawing applicants who want to come to NYU and build bridges to other students from across the US and around the world.”
