Peking University China Offers Summer Research Opportunity For International Students
The last date to apply for the Summer Research Opportunity For International Students is April 30, 2024. Final results will be released in late May to early June 2024.
To apply to the projects, the applicant must first connect with a PKU Professor by identifying a potential mentor from the PKU Faculty Directory. The students must discuss about the project and research interests, and submit a CV, and a research plan between 500-1,000 words for preliminary review, as reported by Free Press Journal.
After the initial approval is received, the applicants need to complete the formal application via the Perking University International Students Online Application System. The program code to apply is Science & Research.
They need to submit a hand-signed online application form, academic transcripts, recommendation letters, research plan, CV, Chinese language proficiency proof (if applicable), and passport ID copy.
After a thorough review of the application form by the university, the successful candidates receive formal admission documents.
Eligibility Criteria for Summer Research Opportunity at Peking University
The following are the eligibility criteria:
- The applicant should be an international student between the age group of 18 to 45 with a valid foreign passport.
- They must be enrolled as undergraduate or graduate students, or working as postdoctoral fellows or full-time scientific researchers at a non-Chinese university.
- They should have a strong academic performance, good physical and mental health, and adherence to the Nationality Law of China is required.
