Study in US: To cater to the increasing demand for a job-ready workforce in the construction industry, Purdue University is creating the upcoming leaders in the construction industry.

There is an increasing demand for professionals in the construction industry of Indianapolis with around $5 billion in the development pipeline. To supply the growing demand, Purdue University has announced the reimagined construction management technology program in Indianapolis.

While commenting on the launch of the new program, Daniel Castro, Purdue Polytechnic dean said, “At Purdue Polytechnic, our goal is to develop industry-ready graduates who are equipped to tackle real-world challenges. This reimagined construction management technology program in Indianapolis, in partnership with the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, reflects our commitment to providing students with a rigorous curriculum that equips them to solve problems, improve processes and become thought leaders, and meaningful professional education and training that meets the essential demands of the growing construction industry."

Purdue University New Program Related To Construction Industry Details

The new program will be offered by the Purdue Polytechnic Institute. The course will help the professionals to develop the required skills in the fast-paced, high-tech construction realm. The students will learn the successful management of the construction projects starting from the conceptual budgets to daily operations to the completion and project turnover. They will get the best training and critical knowledge to accelerate the growth of the construction industry in Indianapolis.

The students will also get the opportunity to "earn while they learn", they will get a wage and at the same time be trained, supervised, and mentored as apprentices by Indiana-based companies. The new program focuses on the leadership aspect of the construction industry. It will generate a job-ready workforce of site organizers, project managers, superintendents, health and safety officials and professionals related to many other roles in this industry.








David Umulis, senior vice provost at Purdue University for Indianapolis commented, “From listening to construction industry leaders throughout the city, we knew that there was an urgent need for skilled workers in this particular area. The reimagined construction management technology program underlines the core objective of our urban expansion in Indianapolis — to establish connections and opportunities for Purdue students in high-demand career fields while creating a direct pipeline of Boilermaker talent for employers in central Indiana.”
