Qatar University: Applications open for International Students Scholarship for Fall 2024; Apply by July 3
Upon receiving the applications, the scholarship committee may consider the applicant’s standard test scores in English (IELTS or TOEFL) and in Mathematics (SAT, ACT, QU Math Placer) or other test scores selected by the committee.
Qatar University is offering International Students Scholarship to international students who apply to undergraduate programs ( Students who transfer from other universities to Qatar University, visiting students, non-degree applicants and applicants seeking a second bachelor's degree are not eligible for academic scholarships offered by Qatar University). Applicants for this scholarship are selected on a competitive basis.
The main objective of the scholarship is to recruit international students with outstanding academic performance. The applicants need not submit any documents except the documents required for admission.
Benefits of Qatar University International Students Scholarship
The following are the benefits of the International Students Scholarship at Qatar University:
- Exemption from tuition fees and textbook fees
- 500 QR monthly salary
- Student housing (two students per room) including transportation to/from campus.
- Annual round-trip airfare ticket
- A residence permit under QU sponsorship
Eligibility Requirements
The following are the eligibility criteria:
- Applicant must receive the final acceptance in the university.
- The applicant must have a high school certificate or its equivalent. with an average of 95%.
- The student must meet the admission requirements for the college that they applied to.
- This scholarship cannot be given in combination with other scholarships.
Condition for continuity of scholarship
- The student should not exceed the period for graduation according to his/her study plan.
- Must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
- They should abide by the General Conditions to keep the scholarship.
- The student must successfully complete a minimum of 12 hours per semester.
- They must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
- The student must remain registered continuously (in Fall and Spring) until graduation.
- Recipients of the scholarship are expected to adhere to academic regulations, policies, and procedures of Qatar University.
Other Requirements
Applicants to the Colleges of Engineering, Medicine, Dental Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Science, Health Sciences and Education (Math & Science) must have a minimum score of 5.5 in IELTS and 61 in TOEFL iBT, and in Mathematics, they must have a minimum score of 24 in ACT Math, 550 in SAT (General Math Component- Old version), and 570 in SAT(General Math component- New version).
