Two Indian students of Dundee University lost their lives in a tragic accident where they fell into the water and drowned reportedly while trekking.

In a tragic incident, two Indian students studying at Dundee University were found dead in the water at a popular sightseeing spot in Scotland.

The students are identified as Jitendranath ‘Jitu’ Karuturi, aged 26, and Chanhakya Bolisetti, 22. They reportedly fell into the water while taking a picture at Linn of Tummel, Blair Atholl, in Perthshire. The students were pursuing master’s degrees in data science and engineering. They were also accompanied by another student when the incident happened.

As per the Daily Record report, the emergency services received a report of two men in the water around 7 pm and after searching the area, they recovered the bodies from the water. The water at the Linn of Tummel, picturesque waterfalls is surrounded by rocks situated northwest of Pitlochry in Perthshire, where the rivers Garry and Tummel meet.

A spokesperson for the Indian high commission in London said, "Two Indian students hailing from Andhra Pradesh drowned in an unfortunate incident Wednesday evening and their bodies were found a little downstream. The Consulate General of India has been in touch with families of the students and a consular official has met the relative of one of the students who lives in the UK. The University of Dundee has assured us of all help. The post-mortem is expected to take place on 19 April and thereafter procedures for repatriating bodies to India will be done,as reported by MSN News.








No suspicious circumstances found, says Police

"Around 7 pm on Wednesday, we received a report of two men in the water at the Linn of Tummel waterfall near Blair Atholl. Emergency services attended and following searches in the area, the bodies of two men were recovered from the water. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances. However, there would not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding these deaths. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal (public prosecutor with the powers to impose fines, in Scotland),said a Police Scotland spokesperson.







This year many Indian students died in the US also, they all were accidental and mysterious deaths, the investigation is still ongoing and another such case happened in Canada where an Indian student was shot dead by unknown miscreants in Canada's Vancouver.
