Study Abroad: Apply for Singapore International Graduate Award!

Study in Singapore: The last date to apply for the Singapore International Graduate Award is 1 December 2024.

Various universities in Singapore collaborated to offer the Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA). It is being provided by Nanyang Technological University (NTU), the Agency for Science, Technology & Research (A*STAR), the National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore Management University (SMU), and the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT).

Singapore International Graduate Award is a bond-free award offered to foreign students with a strong interest in doing research leading to EngD or PhD in Science and Engineering and those with excellent academic undergraduate and/or master's results.

Singapore International Graduate Award: More Details

It is intended mainly for foreign students studying in Singapore for the first time, those who are Singapore Permanent Residents, Singaporeans, and international students studying/who have studied in Singapore tertiary institutions are not eligible. The applicant must have good reports from academic referees, and must possess good spoken and written English.

The award offers funding for up to four years of PhD studies which covers a one-time airfare grant of up to S$1,500, tuition fees, a monthly stipend of S$2,700 which increases to S$3,200 after the passing of the Qualifying Examination, and one-time settling-in allowance of S$1,000.

Documents needed for Singapore International Graduate Award

The candidates are advised to be ready with the documents before applying for this award and these documents must be sent online and no hard copy should be sent.

The documents required are - valid passports and recent pass-post-sized photos in .jpeg or .png format. Master's and Bachelor's academic transcripts, 2 recommendation reports, Bachelor’s Degree certificate, GRE scores, IELTS / TOEFL / SAT I & II / GATE results submission is optional and may be required later.
