About Classes Internationales

They are the exclusive path to higher education in France. French President Emmanuel Macron announced the launch of Classes Internationales during his state visit to India in January 2024. It is a groundbreaking program for Indian aspirants who seek to study in France. It offers premier French higher education universities and public institutions.

"30,000 Indian students in France in 2030. It’s a very ambitious target, but I am determined to make it happen," reads a message from President Emmanuel Macron on X platform.

The message said that France is launching new pathways in order to learn French in public schools with the initiative "French for All, French for a Better Future." The country developed a network of alliances francaises with new centres and created international classes which will allow students, who do not necessarily speak French to join France universities. The government will also facilitate the visa process for any former Indian students who studied in France.

"India and France have so much to do together, now and in the future. We will achieve this with you, our young people, in exchange and cooperation, in trust, in friendship!," said the President on X platform. France has now 35 universities in the QS ranking and about 15 in the Times Higher Education Ranking, he added.
