Study in Canada: Apply Now for University of Montreal UdeM Exemption Scholarship!
For Fall intake which is unfolding from August to December, the applicants seeking admission to master's and postgraduate programs can apply by February 1, 2025.
The University of Montreal in Canada is currently accepting the application for the UdeM Exemption Scholarship which is applicable for the Fall intake. The last date to apply for the fall intake is February 1, 2025.
For the Winter intake that unfolds from January to April, the last date to apply is September 1, 2024. For the Summer intake that starts from April to June, the last date to apply is also February 1, 2025.
To get this scholarship, the applicants must apply for admission well ahead of deadlines and find out all the admissions requirements for their chosen course. The candidates do not need to apply for any separate application for this scholarship, once their application is accepted, they will automatically be evaluated for the UdeM Exemption Scholarship.
After the student receives the admission offer, they will also get informed about the amount of scholarship they are entitled to. It is advisable to print and keep this document in a safe place for future reference.
University of Montreal UdeM Exemption Scholarship Application Process Details
As per the university's official statement, the admission period for international students ends several weeks before the session begins because more time is needed to complete the formalities of coming to Canada and Quebec.
"Please note that foreign students must allow for 3 to 6 months to complete all the formalities required to study in Canada. If these formalities are not completed in time, you will have to file a new application at a later date," reads the official statement.
Eligibility Requirement
For admissions to graduate programs including microprograms, DESS and Master’s, the candidates need to have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. For those who seek admission to postgraduate programs (PhD), they must have a Master's degree or equivalent.
"Holding the required degree does not however guarantee admission. Specific admission requirements also appear in each program description," said the official statement.
