Study in UK: Apply for PhD at Imperial College on President's Fellowships
The President's Fellowships at the Imperial College London provide funding for the tuition fees and a stipend will be given to the candidates for managing their living costs.
Imperial College London is currently accepting applications for the President's Fellowships. Those who intend to pursue a PhD program at a world-class research institution and are currently outstanding undergraduate or Master's students can apply for the PhD program at the Imperial College London through the President's Fellowships.
The selected candidates will be provided full funding for their tuition fees and stipend for 3.5 years.
"The President’s PhD Scholarships allow students to undertake a research project of their choosing with the support of an excellent supervisor, alongside cohort-building opportunities with other President's PhD Scholars," reads the official statement.
Eligibility Criteria
The following are the eligibility criteria:
- There are no restrictions on nationality. The applications are invited from students of Imperial College London and international students.
- It is available for both full-time and part-time study.
- The Fellowship is highly competitive and it is given to students who are exceptionally good academically and have the potential for promising research.
- The college wants to have candidates from diverse backgrounds, hence, candidates from various backgrounds are invited to apply for the fellowship.
- Academically, the students must have a first-class or equivalent degree from an undergraduate or integrated Masters program.
- Candidates must have a distinction in a standalone Master’s qualification.
Imperial College President's Fellowships Funding Details
There are a total of 50 scholarships available to fund the tuition fees of the course. The candidates will get a stipend of £25,150 (2024-25 rate) per annum to manage their living costs. For the first three years of study, they will get a consumables fund of £2,000 per annum.
"You will also have access to the full range of support available to postgraduates at Imperial, including tailored support for disabled and international students, and the wider Graduate School programme of professional skills courses," added the official statement.
To apply for the course, the candidates must have contact with the college's supervisor in an academic department. The supervisors can only supervise one scholar at any time, and hence the supervisor should be ready to supervise your research project.
