The Fellowship will commence from February 2025 and it will be of six weeks to three months. The last date to apply for the Commonwealth Professional Fellowships 2025 is 5 August 2024, at 17:00 BST.

The UK government is currently accepting applications for Commonwealth Professional Fellowships 2025. The Fellowships are highly competitive in nature and hence very few can be selected. The students are advised to choose carefully what they decide to include.

The applications will be assessed based on three key criteria including study/research plan, impact of the work on development, and academic merit. There are no quotas available for people from different countries and scholarships are offered purely on the basis of information provided on the application form.

Eligibility Criteria

Following are the eligibility requirements for the Commonwealth Professional Fellowships 2025:

  • The candidates must be citizens of, permanent resident or refugee of an eligible Commonwealth country, or be a British Protected Person
  • The applicants should not have undertaken a Commonwealth Professional Fellowship in the past five years.
  • Work experience of a minimum of five years full-time or equivalent part-time is required in a related field.
  • They should be available from the date when the fellowship starts.
  • It is mandatory to provide a minimum of two reference

Financial Assistance

Following are the financial assistance provided by the fellowship:

  • The candidates will get a reimbursement of the standard visa application fee and approved return airfare from the candidates' home country to the UK
  • £2,057 stipend per month for the duration of the award or £2,553 per month for candidates from the London metropolitan area organization.
  • £1,156.60 of arrival allowance.
  • For short courses, travel and conferences, the Fellows can get a maximum of £3,000.
