To celebrate the 60th-anniversary, the University of Warwick has planned a series of events throughout the year starting with the Festival of Innovation this month to the spectacular Global Illuminations Light Festival in November.

 

The University of Warwick has planned events throughout 2025 to celebrate its 60th-anniversary year. The celebration will begin with the Festival of Innovation later this month and there will be a spectacular Global Illuminations Light Festival in November.

"We are 60!Six decades of innovation, collaboration, and transformational spirit! Thank you to each and every one of you who have been part of what has been an amazing story so far. Join us to celebrate throughout the year at a series of special events!" reads, the university's message on the X platform.

While commenting on these events, Professor Stuart Croft, Vice-Chancellor and President of The University of Warwick, said, “As we prepare to mark the University’s prestigious 60th anniversary in 2025, it is the ideal moment to also reflect on our legacy. At The University of Warwick, we are proud of our rich heritage as a world-class leader in education, research and innovation, locally, nationally and internationally. However, whilst this is an opportunity to take stock of the achievements of the past six decades, it is also a chance to renew our commitment to a further 60 years of innovation and collaboration. The celebrations will foster a positive, lasting impact for years to come as we look ahead to a future that is defined by our transformational spirit.”
