U.S. News & World Report, the global authority in education rankings and consumer advice, has evaluated more than 2,250 schools on academic research and reputation and released the Best Global Universities Rankings 2024-2025.

"The Best Global Universities rankings provide a starting point for students to compare universities across the globe, within their region, and even by specific discipline. In their tenth year, the rankings have expanded to include more schools and more subjects while ensuring a focus on scholarly reputation and on institutions that prioritize cutting-edge research," said LaMont Jones, Ed.D., managing editor for Education at U.S. News, as reported by PR News Wire.

The overall 2024-2025 Best Global Universities rankings include 2,250 top universities from more than 100 countries, up from 2,000 schools and 90 countries when last ranked. These universities are ranked according to research performance and reputation, said the official statement.

More Details About Top Universities

The No. 1 Harvard University offers its students "international co-curricular opportunities for research, study, and personal-growth experiences," according to its website. The university is offering more than 100 different languages and has over 6,700 international students enrolled during the 2023-2024 academic year. MIT was engaged in 419 internationally funded projects involving 56 countries, say the official website and it has 3,450 international students currently enrolled.








Stanford University offers 84 internships in 28 locations around the world and their undergraduate and graduate students interned at organizations in countries such as Argentina, Chile, Estonia, India and Taiwan. The University of Oxford in the UK offers a diverse culture with 46% of students and 48% of the staff coming from outside of the U.K. The International House at the University of California—Berkeley has around 600 students and scholars from over 70 countries. The centre offers training sessions to enhance intercultural competencies and foster leadership development.
